I am an experienced student tutor who has a very strong Chinese and Mathematics background. My upper secondary student has managed to improve his results by 2 grades during his prelim. I am also working at tuition centre as assistant teacher, hence I am very familiar with the current syllabus and will provide extra materials to teach the students techniques to answer Chinese comprehension questions and increase her ability to write for compositions and adjust my teaching method to cater to the student's needs.
Primary level - Chinese English Higher Chinese Mathematics

Rapport Building
I will ensure that good rapport is built between the student and I. I am very patient and is willing to listen to the student's concern and feedback in order to better help the student. I will provide my contact number to the student so that he/she can contact me immediately if he/she needs help. I will ensure that I will be strict enough to ensure that the students are disciplined but not too strict that he/she is not willing to communicate with me. Rewards will usually be given to my students to act as incentives to better motivate them to achieve better results. At the end of the lesson, I will update the parents regarding their child's performance and improvements. I will also recommend assessment books to the parents to better equip their child.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I will always purchase the latest textbooks to ensure that the student and I are on the same track and what I teach is relevant. I will also purchase other school's exam papers to identify the more common questions and the trend in setting of papers. Since I am currently working as assistant teacher at tuition centre, I am able to ensure that I am keeping up with curriculum through the materials I have on hand. The students can also feedback to me if he/she finds my way of teaching is outdated and I will change accordingly.
As a Good Tutor
Since I am teaching at tuition centre as assistant teacher, I am a very patient teacher who is able to communicate with students effectively. I am very passionate in teaching and ensure that my students will have the latest materials to better equip them for examinations. I am also very responsible and will not be late for any lessons. During examination period, I will also try not to go for holidays so that students can contact me if they have any doubts.
