I am currently a Chinese Primary School Teacher in Bishan. I have taught for about 1 year but unfortunately cannot continue due to health reasons.
In my school, I often take relief lessons for the EMS teachers so I am familiar with the syllabus and MOE targets for English and Maths.
I have had 2 Primary 4 students who are foreigners so they do not speak Chinese at all. However, after 3 months, one managed to improve his grades by 100% and the other by 50%. I believe this is due to me being bilingual and engaging so I can capture the students' attention.
