Commitment / Other Details
I can start now. Early mornings to about 11am, and then evening from 7pm onwards on weekdays. Weekends are flexible.
Rapport Building
Communicate with them more and find out what is the real concern and address them. Find out what motivates the students, and make learning fun. But most importantly I am very patient with people that are learning so I stay long enough to figure out what ticks.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
New tutor here, but I check out the past year papers and textbooks. I also have teacher and other tutor friends
As a Good Tutor
Patience, because students come to you because they need help. And there are things they don't understand or that there is always underlying frustration because they feel left behind.

Encouraging - Some of these factors are psychological, and being able to motivate students plays a big part.

Creativity - Different teachers teaching the same thing can have drastic effects. Its not just the content, but how you deliver the concept. If it doesn't work, then you need to look out of the box.
