Tuition/Teaching Experience
I am currently a third year student studying mechanical engineering in Nanyang Technological University. I have no experience in tutoring but I firmly believe that I can be a great tutor because coming from a normal academic background, I know the troubles that plenty of students have when it comes to studying. Through the guidance I had from my own tutors and the studying methods I was taught, I was able to breakthrough the stereotype that students in the normal academic stream are confined to a mere diploma. I would like to share these experiences and teachings to my future students so that they may succeed and excel in their academics.

Commitment / Other Details
I am able to fully commit to every one of my students as I am free on every Friday, Saturday and Sunday due to my 4 day school schedule. I prefer home 1 on 1 tuition as I engage and teach better in 1 on 1 lessons.
Rapport Building
I have no experience in this field yet. However I believe that building a rapport with the student and his/her family is important as it helps with the interaction and trust the student will have in his/her tutor. In doing so, I would build the rapport by meeting my student's parents and chatting with them to get a bit of some background of the family so that I can better understand them. To become more approachable and trustworthy so that they (the parents) will know that their child is in good hands.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Depending on the level of my students, I will read up on their syllabus and make sure that I am keeping in line to their syllabus. I can further judge their knowledge and understanding by first conducting a simple mock test.
As a Good Tutor
I think a good tutor has to have knowledge and patience. He/she must also be a good role model for the student.
