I am currently teaching secondary maths in a tuition centre and primary math as a home tuitor. I am familiar with the current syllabus and I customised lessons and worksheets to meet the needs of every student. Being able to communicate effectively with students of different age group and various levels. Students with weak foundation can understand my explanation easily as I always link back questions to the very basic concept, this can help students to find the relationship between chapters. When students understand patterns in math, they will soon gain confidence.
I was a Chinese Language Elective Programme scholar in junior college and I had been studied in China for few years. This experience makes me feel that Chinese learning is not just about the language, but about the culture and the history behind the language. Therefore, besides the answering techniques and skills that students need to equip in order to score marks in exam, I prefer to add some extra knowledge about history and culture. This can change students attitude towards the subject and it can also help them to excel in their composition writing.
