I have tutored other students during my a levels. I usually teach primary sch- sec sch students. I specilise in Physis and maths! I can start asap.
I am currently free as my semester just ended in NUS.
Rapport Building
Teaching students is a huge responsibility to take on. I myself have know what it is like to go through O levels and PSLE without tuition.As such i fully understand the importance of having a tutor who can teach kids properly. I am fairly easy going with kids, i don't get annoyed or frustrated by mistakes but i rather guide them along their way. Sometimes its better to make mistakes than to be consistently correct. We learn from mistakes that we make.
I am more of a mathematics person. I understand maths and physics topics easily which i understand that most students have difficulty understanding, especially during their upper secondary school phase. It is at this phase that they are introduced to A maths and pure physics that really test their coping and understanding ability.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I am currently in NUS studying Chemical Engineering. i have breaks in between days and during weekends which i can use to help give students tuition. I will do my best to ensure that the timing required by the students are met!
As a Good Tutor
I believe that as tutors i need to understand that each student is different. Not everyone understands topic the same way we do. Its paramount that the bond between the student and the tutor is strong such that the student does not see the tutor as someone who is nagging at him but rather as someone that they feel comfortable to approach and ask even the trivial of questions.
It is also crucial to have a strong understanding with the parents. They want their children to improve academically, they place their trust in me to ensure that their kid does better than the others. As such i feel that a healthy bond with the parents would go in a long way to keep the students grade up.
