As a Good Tutor
Education in Singapore has been seen as a rat race to amass academic accolades in the form of stellar results. It is often thought that a good tutor is one who can help the students to get better results. However, I am inclined to believe that a great tutor is one who not only impart knowledge, but also the skills that are able to transcend subjects. After all, learning is a conscious habit and not an endeavor to consume raw information. In light of this, it is imperative that a competent tutor can help a student to realise his own strengths and weaknesses so as to maximise their learning regardless of the subject.
