Tuition/Teaching Experience
For a year, I worked at Kumon as a part time teacher, coaching students from age 3-10 on subjects that included English, Math and Chinese.This experience has imparted me with valuable teaching skills.
I am able to start on the 18th of December and am able to commit to an assignment for a period of 6 months or more.
Rapport Building
I will make the lessons interesting so as to create a fun learning environment for my student and engage their interest in the subject taught. As for the parents, I will keep them updated on their child's progress and ensure that I provide the needed assistance in coaching their child to attain excellent results.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I will do my research on the list of syllabus needed to be covered based on the particular subject. Next I will create a calendar and check-list to make sure all topics are covered to prepare my student for their exams.
As a Good Tutor
I believe patience, dedication and devotion to ensuring that the student is able to maximise his/her potential in their abilities to excel in their studies are the few basic qualities to possess as a tutor. Being encouraging to the student to cheer him/her on when faced with setbacks in their studies is also a basic quality of a good tutor.
