I'll read up on the syllabus requirements and refresh my own knowledge before attempting to teach.
As a Good Tutor
I think it's first and foremost having the knowledge. Secondly, it's understanding how the syllabus expects one to apply such knowledge. Lastly, it's a fine balance in understanding a student's academics weaknesses and understanding how fast they learn.
