Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have experience in tutoring 2 P6 students in english and maths and a Sec 2 student in Maths. I am currently tutoring a P5 student in eng and maths and a Sec 1NT student in eng and amths. One of my ex students has improved from 30 marks to a pass in both subjects from mid year to his prelims while my other ex student has improved from a C grade to an A grade in the same time frame.
I am able to commit for at least one year and I would go through a summary of the topic for the student to clear his or her doubts. I would also give the student lots of practises for them to recognise the pattern in questions and apply the concepts well. I also conduct lessons in a more discursive approach especially for students with short attention span. For instance, i would ask the student to describe his or her thinking process in subjects like math and provide guidance to correct their thought process if needed.
I have a strong passion in teaching and will not give up on any student. I will always feel a sense of satisfaction whenever my student shows improvement in his or her grades.
