I have done relief teaching at River Valley High School for secondary 1,2 and 4 students on numerous occasions. I did unofficial tutoring services for relatives and close family members previously.

Rapport Building
I have an extroverted personality due to past experiences dealing with and leading juniors from my school during my time as a CCA leader. With the experiences I have during volunteering opportunities with youths and younger kids, I believe that my easy-going personality will allow me to talk to children and understand them better. This also applies to the parents as well.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I am updated with the current curriculum as I have siblings that are studying in secondary schools. I have experience with the current Primary School curriculum as I have relatives that recently graduated or are studying in a local primary school.
As a Good Tutor
I do think good tutors should have excellent communication skills whilst keeping themselves academically updated on the best ways to tutor children of varying academic abilities. Only with good communication skills would they be able to teach the students effectively in terms of their schoolwork. It would also help with building rapport with the children and their parents, providing both parties a conducive tutoring experience and environment. Secondly, a good tutor must be strict but not unreasonable when there is a need.
