Beyond just the tutoring session, it is crucial to understand the student's character from the parent and during the session itself, to better suit the tutoring ambience. Tutoring strategies can be adapted then according to student's learning nature /preferences/strengths/interests
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Annually, the curriculum changes but the core concepts stays mostly constant. Therefore I take take time to read up on changes and browse through big papers to highlight the major differences and keep myself up to data by trying the questions myself.
As a Good Tutor
Grades are important, that is unquestioned. However, I believe in cultivating a genuine interest or minimally fostering a program whereby students can grasp the underlying concepts of the relevant subject and apply it across a broad spectrum beyond just the pure pursuit of getting the correct answer for any question.
