Tuition/Teaching Experience: I've volunteered in HIHS and Mayflower Pr to help academically weaker students. In SJI, I assisted teachers and helped proof-read the work of my peers, particularly in English.

Commitment / Other Details: I am available for Home Tuition on weekends before 3 pm and can ensure a commitment period of at least 1 year.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I have just completed the IB Programme and am kept in the know about syllabus changes by teachers I still keep in contact with. Further, out of personal curiosity, I look into the grading schemes published to the public by the IBO.

As a Good Tutor: I believe a good tutor (or teacher) first seeks to understand the struggles and frustrations faced by their students before they impose their own dogmas or strategies on how to handle examinations.
When approaching a subject as complex and broad as language, flexibility and confidence is key. In order to develop something as personal as writing, English tutors have to be patient and help their students find their own approach, while making sure they stay on track to produce critical and analytical work.
