Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have been a tutor mostly part time for 14 years. I am an early childhood educator for 10 years and have worked in a local primary school for 1 year. Recently, I have switched to giving tuition full time.
Currently, I have 2 other tuition assignments and am teaching in a tuition ctr once a week. I am able to start immediately and I am on active search for tuition in the weekday mornings to fill up my time. My commitment to a tuition assignment would be for a year mininum.
Rapport Building
Parents are very important people in a childs life and I believe communication with them is vital. I like to make sure my children are able to max out their potential however, its more important to bond with them so that they will achieve under motivation and not pressure.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I have been a tutor for 14 years and was a full time tutor for 10 years. Im still actively linked to the education system via friends and chatrooms. Giving classes in a tuition center also help in me keeping up with the curriculum.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor should be a good mentor to his/her tutees. One should be able to build the bond and have a good rapport with the child. And one very important thing to note, parents leave their trust and their money to you.. make it worth their while.
