've tutored during my vacations and have grown fond of it. I strongly believe that knowledge is power and everyone should be given a chance to acquire it at their own pace. Everyone's learning abilities and pace differs, hence it is of utmost importance that the learning pace is tailored to fit an individual to increase his/her absorption rate. I believe in positive encouragement to boost an individual's self esteem and confidence to increase their learning capacity. Understanding the fundamentals of a problem as compared to learning blindly and memorizing chunks of info is my teaching philosophy. This way, a person would learn to be flexible and tackle problems based on it's nature and feasibility. An ability that i feel is lacking in many today.
