As a highly motivated tutor with a passion for teaching, I have coached several secondary three and four students over the past 6 years. My students have always seen me as a good friend and big sister rather than just a tution teacher. Many students have complimented me on my patience and ability to see things from their perspectives, enabling me to explain various concepts to them. This is especially so when they have difficulty understanding these concepts when they are taught in school.
To me, the greatest sense of satisfaction is obtained when my students achieve excellent results, performing even beyond their own expectations. The appreciation from students and parents further motivate me to continue helping more students.

Rapport Building: My students have always treated me more like their friend than their teacher. This friendly relationship will allow the students to open up to me without any reservations. This will encourage them to openly share their doubts and questions with me. Only then will I be able to target the areas which they are unsure of and address their queries. This approach has worked well over the past 6 years and my students are still very grateful to me till this day, occassionally sending me messages on how they are doing in JC/Poly.

To the parents, I am seen as a trustworthy and reliable tutor who will provide them with regular updates on their child's progress. The parents and I share a common goal which is to ensure the most effective learning experience for their child.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I have been tutoring for the past 6 years and hence I am kept up to date with the current curriculum. I will also read up on the syllabus published every new academic year to ensure that I am focusing on the right areas when tutoring my students.

As a Good Tutor: To be a good tutor, I feel that passion and patience are some of the most important attributes. With a passion for teaching, I will put in my utmost best into coaching my students and the greatest reward to me is seeing my students achieve excellent results. Being patient and trying to see things from the students' perspective allows me to communicate effectively with them and explain concepts so that they will be able to understand and apply what they have learnt..
