I have 4 years of experience teaching Lower and Upper Primary School students. I specialize in Mathematics and English and I'm well versed in the latest MOE syllables.
My main strengths are in assisting students to understand and apply their knowledge in written responses tailored to exam requirements. i understand that different students have their own learning curve, and I'll tailor my teaching methods as per their individual requirement.
My students have consistently performed well and made considerable progress in a short space of time under my tuition. I work closely with students to determine where their strengths and weaknesses lie and will then target areas for improvement.

Rapport Building
I usually start off my first lesson by giving trial questions and assessments to test their strengths and weaknesses in various area of the subject.
Thereafter, I'll tailor my teaching methods to help them to understand the concept fully. Thereafter, I'll get them to practice on assignments and phrase the question in different ways to ensure that they completely grasp the concept by heart.
Every month or two, I will review their progress together with the parent and their children and work on the area that needs to be improved and etc.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I constantly review past year papers, as well as the latest MOE-released syllabus to keep myself well-informed and updated on the most relevant syllabus. Moreover, I do volunteer for coaching/tutoring on my free time to keep my passion for teaching going.
As a Good Tutor
I believe that as a teacher, you should be responsible and driven. Responsible not only for the child's academic results, but to instill the right values in them. A teacher should always try his or her best to understand the child and tailor their teaching methods accordingly.
A teacher should lead by example, and to instill enthusiasm and willingness to learn in the child. A teacher should be passionate about his or her work, and should always try to understand from the child's point of view. A teacher should not be rigid in his teaching methods, and should instead try to find the most effective way to get across to the child.
