Rapport Building
I make sure that i communicate with the parents about the progress of the students and understand their weaknesses and strength. I usually give a brief evaluation of their children once a week to let the parents which areas of the subject they might have to encourage their children to work on.
For students, even though i am a strict tutor, i understand that some students are already overwhelmed by the school assignments and my lessons tend to focus more on their weaknesses so that we would be able to maximise the time we have together. In addition, i understand that students are motivated by some kind of reward so i would encourage my students with some small rewards in the form of stationary or sweets.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As a Good Tutor
I believe as a tutor, I am patient with the students when they do not get the concepts. I have experience with slower students and i understand that they would need repeated explanation and recaps to fully understand the concepts.
