Rapport Building: I am a friendly tutor that emphasises on building a positive relationship with the students and parents. I like to work together with the parents to find out what goals they have for their child, and with the students to find out what teaching or studying method allows them to learn the best. I am also able to pinpoint where the student's weaknesses tend to lie and address them accordingly. Through kindness, patience and the motivation to nurture the student to the best of my abilities in the most enjoyable way possible, I believe that all of us can work together to achieve our common goal of preparing the student perform academically and achieve their greatest potential.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I have a year of teaching experience and have taught students recently, and as such I am familiar with the PSLE, O Level and IP curriculums up to the 2019 syllabus. Since I employ the approach of solving problems together with the student, I am well versed with how students think and what kind of difficulties they usually face when attempting questions. This also allows me to be in consistent practice in solving relevant past year questions related to the most updated curriculum.

As a Good Tutor: I am an NUS undergraduate studying Business and Psychology and will be studying medicine (BsC/MD) in UWA in 2020. I graduated from Hwa Chong Institution (IP) and Henry Park Primary School and achieved highest in level in English for PSLE prelims, was consistently top in class for Science in primary school and was consistently the top few percentile for Math throughout primary and secondary school. As a tutor, I believe in teaching my students to study hard, study smart and appreciate the bigger picture. I believe in drafting specific studying methods and tactics to suit each individual student's learning needs to ensure they learn in the most effective way possible and gain the confidence that they can achieve their desired grades. I enjoy connecting and working together with the student and parent to build a conducive and nurturing learning environment.
