Tuition/Teaching Experience
I taught in Unity Pr Sch from 2003-2010. I taught P5 and P6 classes. I started with Eng, Math and Science for the first three years. Thereafter, I specialised in the teaching of Mathematics; both High Ability and Low Ability classes, and Science. I set and vet Math papers for upper pr during my teaching years. Hence I am very familiar with PSLE questions.
I stopped teaching in school after I have my second child. I have been giving private tuition and teaching at Mind Stretcher Learning Centre since then. I currently have classes from P3-P6 in Mathematics and Science; both Achiever and High Achiever classes at Mind Stretcher.

Commitment / Other Details
Teaching is my passion and I strongly believe that every child can achieve given the proper guidance. I taught pupils with Special Needs like ADHD, ASD, ADD, Dyslexia, when I was in school. Patience is the key when working with these pupils and I motivate them through reward system.
Preparation for PSLE is like a marathon. We need to start the child at P3/4 for Science and latest at P5 for Mathematics. I believe exposure to common exam questions and practice are important for the child. I used to set and vet Math and Science papers for upper primary, hence, I am very familiar with the exam questions and strategies to problem solving.
As a full time tutor, I aim to follow each child through to PSLE. I do not have fixed teaching methods as every child has different ability and learning needs. I will work closely with the child to tackle his weaknesses and reinforce his strengths. My role is to support and guide the child to unleash his/her potential.
