Tutoring Subjects

Rapport Building: I typically seek to understand from parents and students the key issues and areas of difficulties faced by the student and hand, and try tailor my approach accordingly. I am results-oriented and have fixed 'check-ins' periodically to update parents and students on their progress. Having had a personal experience of the problems of the Singaporean education system, I am able to offer informal advice to parents on a whole range of issues (relating to and outside of syllabus, such as university choices, applications, etc.). I like to keep in close contact with parents and maintain a good relationship and I continue to do so with many of my former tutees / tutee's parents.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I keep myself constantly up to date with the current syllabus through frequent interactions with full-time education professionals as well as formally through the published A Level official syllabus.

As a Good Tutor: I am a caring tutor who is able to identify well with my students and build strong connections, and I believe I am well equipped to help students navigate the next phase of their lives through my own personal experiences. Having graduated from a top global university myself, I am able to tap on my international experience and offer the best teaching approaches to help my students fulfil their potential, while retaining a local perspective on the realities of the Singaporean education system.
