Rapport Building
I always start the first lesson early so as to get to know the student better and find common interests and common learning style. Thereafter I would try to teach him/her in terms of his/her respective learning preferences to help them learn concepts more effectively. I am also a very patient and understanding tutor, as I always emphasize to my students that I know what they are going through and fully understand their struggles as students.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I am freshly graduated from JC, hence I am highly familiar with the latest syllabus, and the exam strategies that got me my straight As are still fresh in my mind. I hope that this can be a leverage for me in gaining my students and potential students' confidence in my teaching.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor is someone who can build the student's confidence. Beyond just teaching the subject and clarifying concepts, I think a tutor should be very reassuring, especially when the student is struggling to keep up with his/her studies. After all, it is the student's keenness to learn and improve that matters most in achieving real results.
