I have been teaching in secondary school since 1999 to 2010. I gave birth to my 2nd baby n i resigned. Currently I am teaching in MSLC for the past three years. I am interested in teaching weaker students in language. I am interested in teaching the lower primary, P1s and P2s who are in the afternoon school. I am available on Mon, Wed and thurs mornings.
I am very dedicated and have helped many weaker children in English. I have also helped foreign students to get a placement in schools. Children who were scoring 30s and 40s by SA1 are able to score 70 marks and by SA2 80. Of course, we work as team with the parents and the child to achieve the results.
I have helped several Dyslexic children n we do lots of hands on to help them cope with the curriculum.
Rapport Building
Usually i have a great rapport with students and do lots of pep talk to motivate students to achieve their goals.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Currently, I am with an established centre that keeps us abreast with the current curriculum changes. Moreover, i have school going child whom i am coaching and teaching so i am very familiar with the current syllabus.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor should always try to find out the weaknesses of the students and help them rectify it to solve the problem. What is hindering the learning ability..is it the understanding of the materials etc. Motivate the child at all times to make them feel they can Do It! Work well with the parents to update of the child's progress.
