Commitment / Other Details
Being an undergraduate who is going on Year 3, I will be able to commit to weekdays evening and weekends. I believe in building a strong relationship with my students - one where they can rely on for reliable support during this learning journey.
I am able to start as soon as second week of June and will commit to my student as necessary.
Rapport Building
Learning is an experiential-based endeavour in life and hence, I believe that the experience that my student has under me is crucial. No man is an island and hence, I will always be patient and encouraging in my conduct and I believe that this helps to build a positive and healthy learning environment for my students. Beyond an academic tutor, I believe in being a friend to my students as well, one who listens and shows genuine concern for his well being.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
Ensuring that my students understand the core of every concept is crucial to help them excel independently. To avoid confusion, I would prefer to pace alongside the school's curriculum accordingly for my students. I will always ensure that there is sufficient buffer time before examinations to recap with my students and assign them sufficient practice.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor is one who sees the potential of his students even when others do not believe so. And this is my mantra during my tutoring endeavour. I believe in recognising the efforts of my students and encouraging them through small improvements along the way.
