Commitment / Other Details
Given the given that I am a university student, my schedule is generally flexible and I will seek to suit the schedule of my students.
Rapport Building
During the first few lessons, my aim is to understand how the student learns best. There will be a series of questions I will ask the student about his or her learning preference, and modify my teaching curriculum accordingly. Parents will be updated frequently and whenever there is significant information about their child's progress. I will always be contactable through my mobile phone number, and it has been my practice to answer the queries of my students whenever they arise, including when we are not having tuition, via WhatsApp. This is to make sure that my students always have the help they need and do not have to wait one week to ask me many questions at one go.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I've kept myself updated up with the curriculum through my continuous participation in the private tutoring sector. I check and update on my curriculum knowledge yearly, making sure that what I teach is what is required by MOE.
As a Good Tutor
What my students have told me is that my passion for the topics I teach is contagious. I believe that doing well in our education system not only means we study aimlessly. The knowledge and skills studying entails are vital to our journey as a teen to a full-fledged adult. This means that we have to learn organically and understand the roots and meaning of the content we are required to learn. And through my teaching, organic learning is what I strive to achieve.

My students have also said that I am patient, and interesting, but I make studying more fun than their teachers in school. Overall, my students have achieved at least a 3 grade jump from when I first started with them, most of them achieving at least a B. This is testament to my teaching methodology which I always seek to customise for each unique student.
