I had been giving tuition partime since University(17 yrs experience) I had been giving tuition on secondary school mathematics(Lower secondary school Mathematics and Upper secondary A and E Maths).
I am able to start as soon as possible and on evenings.
Rapport Building
Normally, i let the students tell me about their concerns and area that they are weak in. I look into the reasons why they are not able to produce results as some students are nervous during exams. I work towards them to be able to have the confidence to score in examinations.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I read up on the curriculum on the MOM website and update myself with the different methods that the school teaches.
As a Good Tutor
As a good tutor, you need to be an authority of figure but also their friend to understand their reasons for not doing well. They are already facing tremendous amount of stress from the school and sometimes self inflicted stress. The best advice we as tutor is to lessen their fear and try to get them as prepared as they can be for their exams.
