Commitment / Other Details
I'll be able to commit asap, and commit to any weekdays until August, then the rest would have to be on weekends until further notice of my school schedule.
Rapport Building
First and foremost, understanding both of their concerns. The parent and child may not see eye to eye on the latter's academic performance, and it's my job to step in. Finding out what the parent may think is the issue with their child, and investigating through the session to see if it's true. The child may have their own side of the story, like careless mistakes, and again the onus fall on me to investigate.

Secondly, constantly updating the parent of their child's progress, before and after tuition sessions. They deserve to know the progress of their children, and can better understand their academic needs, especially on non tuition days.

Lastly, to ensure that the student is pleased with the lesson. In the sense that they understood what they previously didn't, and to retain the knowledge through practices or other means.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
With the MOE syllables, and resources such as assessment books, practice papers, notes, resources from people that are in the same field.
As a Good Tutor
A good tutor ensures that their student understand the concepts well, and is able to teach the same things to another.
They must learn to draw the line between being a friend, as well as a teacher. Being a friend is able to break down barriers and for the student to voice out any queries they don't understand.
