Tuition/Teaching Experience
I have experiences in tutoring students from K2, to primary 4. By far, I had 4 students before 2 from international school and 2 from a local primary school. My self-reckon strongest subject in teaching will be Math and English. I am also keen on teaching secondary student Accounting as I have fared rather well in secondary school and polytechnic examinations. I am also currently studying in SIM university of london where I am again exposed to the subject of Accountancy.
Currently schooling in SIM University of London pursuing my degree in Banking and Financial services.
Rapport Building
I wouldn't say I am definitely able to handle kids with special needs but because my sister too has dyslexia, I am exposed to this need from young and have the patience in coaching them. 1 of my previous student was hyper active and I have gained experience in handling with them.
I build rapport with my students by understanding their interest and try to being the things of their interest into the learning materials so as to keep them interested in the lesson. Based on past experiences, I also refrain from long tuition session as I feel that the focus of the student because less productive in the later part of the lesson. (UNLESS its a exam revision or I personally feel the student is able to handle the long session and is able to focus well)
After every session of the class, if its not too late, I will usually update the parent on the student's progress and highlight certain study problems (if any) to the parent so parents will be able to monitor on the student's progress and also co-operatively be working on the same track as me to help improve the student's grades.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As a Good Tutor
I would not say I am an excellent tutor but because I gained from having a tutor before and I learnt to realise that efficient teaching a student in need may change his education perspectives in studying.
