Commitment / Other Details
I can start immediately on weekend afternoons and weekday evenings. I am able to commit for as long as the student requires help.
Rapport Building
Rapport is critical in a teaching relationship. I make it a point to get to know the student personally including their interests (it is often soccer, dancing, watching One Direction videos, etc..) and incorporate ideas that interest them into the lesson and teaching. For instance, using an example of a famous soccer player or as a metaphor. I get to know their strengths and weaknesses and tailor lessons accordingly.

I keep parents updated on what I intend to teach their students and give frequent feedback on progress unprompted. Parents and students have provided excellent feedback thus far.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I keep abreast of developments in the curriculum via the official SEAB website. I study the changes and explanations given, as well as read examiners' comments to see their changing requirements.
As a Good Tutor
The best tutors for language subjects have the ability to give the correct amount of guidance to help the student arrive at answers. The tutor must create a safe and effective environment for the student to make mistakes and ask questions, and develop their skills. For language, it is necessary to teach both exam skills such as answering techniques as well as the command f the language, including grammar and vocabulary.
