Tuition/Teaching Experience
Why am I a great tutor? One of my students once mentioned the following: "You manage it to not only transfer knowledge but also to make me discover my enthusiasm for learning."

I started working as a tutor more than 10 years ago, when my school launched its own tutoring program. This time, I taught 2 younger students in Latin language. During my studies, I worked as a tutor in the field Maths. I am originally from Germany and work and live in Singapore. Here I am currently teaching German language after work.

Attributes, which describe me the best? Feedback I got from my students:
- Patient
- The right sense of humor
- Very structured (probably a German thing, my Singaporean friends mentioned ;-))
- Ability to explain difficult things in a simple and understandable

Commitment / Other Details
I am able to start immediately. Preferred on weekends or after 7 p.m. during the week.
Rapport Building
I would describe myself as very sociable - in working life as well as private life. So for me it never was quite difficult to build rapport with my students and their parents :-). The most important thing is to have a common understanding of what needs to be thaught and how it's the best for the student and respond to their individual wishes.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
That depends on the field, I teach my students. Languages for example, like German or English, I am currently teaching and improved my teaching methods more and more by doing so in recent years.
As a Good Tutor
What kind attributes a good teacher should have in my opinion?

- Understand and adopt teaching methods to the student's needs and the ability to put hisself in the student's shoes: I experienced that many tutors have a huge knowledge about the field they are teaching in, but are struggeling to explain even simple things because they never learnt HOW to teach

- Preparation: Even if a tutor is a professional in his/her field, a good preparation before the course start, is the "a" and "o". Only then the tutor is able to give an efficient lesson
