Tuition/Teaching Experience: Has been helping Overseas Students (eg foreign scholars) to adapt to Singapore's English-Based Education for more than 2 years. Experienced in teaching Secondary school foreign students in terms of scientific terminologies of science subjects such as Chemistry and Physics. This nurtured me a teaching style that is both patient and straight to the point. On top of that, being in IP school for 6 years gave me the opportunity to explore the contents of subjects (especially sciences) to a greater scope than what is required.

Commitment / Other Details: I've just finished my GCE 'A' Levels and is on a long break before enlisting in Feb. Because of studying i previously had to cancel all of my tuition sessions and currently i have none in hand. I am able to commit actively for at least 2 months while only available on weekends after that.

Rapport Building: I believe that the type of Family environment a student has is the key to exploring the individuals potential. At teenage age is is very common for parents and child to share a distinguish age gap. That is why Usually when i start a new assignment i will first try to communicate with my students in terms of his difficulties, studies wise or social wise, and after the session i will also spend around 5 minutes to talk with the parents about the child's condition.

Keeping Up with Curriculum: I am the graduating batch of 2013 and as a member of the enormous 6-years IP programme, i forge strong bonds with my juniors in high school throughout my stay in Hwa Chong. It is a tradition in my CCA, that seniors from JC will often come back to aid the juniors in high school for their important promotional exams such as the sec 4 End of Year exam. And thanks to this, i had helped out with many of my CCA juniors in my JC life and this constantly makes my undertsanding of secondary school curriculums up to date

As a Good Tutor: I believed that a good tutor not only has to be experienced and exhibits in depth understanding of the knowledge, but possess influencial and counseling skills. In this world with knowledge available anywhere on the internet, the role of tutor is shifting from knowledge imparting to more of a motivational and propeller for the individual child to excell independently. A personal tutor is also the bridge of school and family, and should render the child with emotional support and encouragement
