Tuition/Teaching Experience
I am a responsible and committed tutor, deeply passionate about the subject that I teach. I believe that a long-term and effective progress stems from developing the student' interest in the taught topic. I also believe that each student has a different learning inclination. As a result, I constantly utilise diverse and creative teaching methods to help my student best absorb the work material presented to him/her.

I have worked as a tutor for 2+ years, with local and overseas experience. Most memorably, I worked as a volunteer geography tutor in London schools, and my past local students went on to score As and Bs at O'levels and A'levels.

Commitment / Other Details
I am patient and happy to put in the extra effort and hours needed to assist my student in overcoming any weaknesses in the subject. However, I believe in a firm and no-nonsense approach towards homework.

I will be able to start from the 23rd of September 2013, and will be committed to at least one full academic year.
Rapport Building
It is in the student's own interest to be fully honest about the struggles they are facing within the subject material or their learning techniques. That way, we can confront the problems and see the improvements. In the earlier stages, the core realistic expectation should always be progress rather than perfection, so that the student doesn't lose motivation prematurely.

Parents will be keep informed should any issues arise, and they are more than welcome to discuss their child's progress with me at any time.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I spent the past 5 years of my JC and university learning under British tutors who were once or still are markers of the Cambridge Examination, as a result I have first hand experience what markers are looking out for.

Access to past years prelim papers is also a feasible option.
As a Good Tutor
I believe tutors need to be equipped with more than knowledge on the subject material, but they must be able to impart effective exam and essay techniques, as well as good time management skills in order for the students to truly succeed. They must also have the student's best interest at heart and work with the student towards maximising their potential.
