    I had been teaching in a SAP school for the past 11 years. I specialise in teaching English in the upper levels since 2007. Science is also my interested subject.

    I had seen improvements in the pupils under my care from P5 to P6 in their English results. I possess a jovial personality, yet I can be firm whenever necessary. I believe strongly in having a strong rapport with my pupils in order to engage them. Parental involvement in their children's learning is also crucial. So I value providing feedback to parents on their children's progress.

    I am able to commit to pupils in my tuition classes from now till end of 2015. I am willing to travel to homes of pupils living in Punggol and Seng Kang.

    I am also prepared to hold small-group tuition classes in my home in Punggol Drive on the following slots:
    Mon 7pm
    Thu 4pm (except 26/9, 7/11 & 12/12)
    Sat 10am

    I believe in creating a 'safe' environment for learning, one that pupils will not be afraid to share their opinions or answers, even if they are not sure whether they are correct or not. Taking time to listen to them and sharing my personal experiences are also crucial to establish rapport. Establishing two-way communication with parents to enhance parental involvement in their child's learning is also necessary.
    Keeping Up with Curriculum
    To keep up with the changes in the English Syllabus, I've recently completed Advanced Diploma in Education in the English Language. This is done as part of my professional development.
    As a Good Tutor
    A good tutor needs to possess passion in the subject she teaches. She also needs to have subject mastery of the content. On top of that, she must be able to assess the child's progress and develop him/her from there. Patience and care for every child are a must!
