Keeping Up with Curriculum
My teaching style is based on first-important-principles. I believe school notes to be quite unorganised and difficult to navigate, hence I curate my own set of notes for the relevant topics. My notes aim to break down topics into simpler parts and allowing the students to understand each individual part before we finally piece together these parts to get the big picture image of the topic. By tackling topics from a micro followed by macro perspective, students are much better able to understand the topics. We will build on the student's knowledge by reviewing several questions that are progressively more difficult.

                  For the students, usually i will start off with short activities or a little chit-chat to let me know more about my students. In the mean while, my students will also get to interact with me and are willing to tell me more about themselves. After the introduction, i will then begin the lesson.

                  For the parents, i would often keep in contact with them through calls and messages. I will also summarize the work progress of their child for the day after every lesson so that the parents will know what and how their child did during the lesson.
                  Keeping Up with Curriculum
                  Usually before i take up the assignment, i will review the past year papers of the level my student is in. I will buy assessment books or prepare test papers for my students.

                  I think the basic qualities of good tutors is to be patient, be knowlegeable in the subjects they teach, be effective and efficient in teaching and passing on the knowledge. Of course, the tutor must be approachable and friendly in order to build a good relationship with parents as well as students.
