Ace Tutors Testimonials

Thank you dear clients for your testimonials about our service delivery. As of a moment ago, we have created a new page where we compile all testimonials that we have received.

Ace Tutors Testimonials

Since we started formally collecting your feedback in July this year, we have been able to learn much about your needs and preferences. More importantly, we have been greatly encouraged by some of your very sterling remarks. Some of them make us sound like tuition coordinating magicians, setting very high expectations for our future service standard and our new coordinators; but we gladly accept them and will keep working hard to hit those standards. Some comments come with really helpful suggestions, which we have incorporated in our operations planning. This should help us bring faster and more reliable service to you as we enter the year of 2012. A happy and fruitful new year to you, our valued customers!

Best Tutors

Dear parents and tutors,

Introducing our new section, Best Tutors, where we collate the positive comments on our tutors. These words of encouragement are provided directly from parents and students who are clients of Ace Tutors. We hope to spur our tutors to do their best in their teaching, and reappear on the top of the list really often!

Best Tutors

Parents may find it easier to browse our database for tutors who have received commendation before. At the Best Tutors page, the tutors’ teaching locations are listed, along with the recent tuition assignments that they have taken e.g. S4 biology tuition will mean a Secondary 4 Biology tuition assignment that was taken from Ace Tutors not long ago.

As we usually tell our parent-clients, your feedback about the performance of our tutors are really important in terms of helping other parents identify the right tutors. It also contributes towards rewarding the deserving tutors for their dedication. Congratulations to the 36 tutors on the list!

Our Best Tutors – Prelaunch #1

Ace Tutors will be launching a new section to celebrate and promote the commendation of our tutors. After 1 month of lessons or so, we will ask our clients for feedback on the performance of our tutors. These comments used to be posted on the profile of our tutors, but we do not feel that this is enough. After all, positive commendation from clients are hard to come by, therefore when they do come along, our tutors ought to be rewarded by having their profiles promoted more prominently.

For now, we are afraid that tutors who received commendation slightly earlier may be buried down lower in our list of commended tutors. In order to make it fair for this group of tutors, we’re throwing a prelaunch party for them here.

Parents: Please go ahead and check these tutors’ profile out. You may shortlist them for your private tuition (by clicking on their profile)

Thank You for Your Honesty – The Dark Side of Payment Issues

We are very thankful that the large majority of our customers are extremely honest and respectful of payment obligations. Most of us will naturally pay off a bill soonest, for fear of loss of trust with the people and company with whom we work. When it comes to the essentials such as utilities bill, we tend to be even more vigilant, as the spectre of being stranded on a hot night without electricity for even a fan is too much to take.

While Ace Tutors does not impose any penalty for late payments, few customers have taken advantage of our friendly policy. We are very grateful about it. When payments do come late, it is often due to the genuine over-sight of customers, and they normally come accompanied with sincere apologies. However, as any accounts personnel would have experienced, there is a dark side to payment issues.

A very small minority of customers, for reasons unrelated to service dissatisfaction, choose to delay payments – indefinitely. They seem to think nothing of their debt obligations. Some will promise you over and over again to pay up immediately, despite you having called him/her 5 times over several weeks before. Some don’t even bother picking up your calls. Tutors and agencies who have been on the receiving end of such poor treatment will tell you that it dampens their mood just thinking about these bad debtors. We have had our fair share of such injustice, and we wished for a golden solution which would create a better world for everyone, a world in which we treated each other as we ourselves want to be treated.

It struck us that bad debts should never go off unpunished. Just as the banks and money lenders of Singapore have a centralised system to track everyone’s payment behaviour, there ought to be such an equivalent system for tuition agencies as well. The system had to be fair; entering bad debtors into the list only upon adequate notice of late payment. The system had to be forgiving; allowing bad debtors to be promptly removed from the list upon fulfilling their payment obligations. The system needs to provide as much value-add to the community as possible; wide and free access to this bad debtor list will educate as many people in the community as possible about the dishonest tendencies of such bad debtors, and considerable time and effort (and fragile hearts) can be saved from not serving these bad debtors in the first place. With these values in mind, the Non-payment Blacklist was started on the informal forum of Ace Tutors.
(Blacklisted tutors to be wary of.)
(Blacklisted parents/students to be wary of.)

There are strict policies governing the listing of bad debtors, and fellow agencies are encouraged to contribute to the list, for the benefit of our whole community. So far, the possibility of entering such a list has already helped to nudge many debtors to pay up. We hope that in the near future, the list is kept as short as possible; as proof that people are wise about the consequences of their actions, especially in a well-connected world of the 21st century.

Tutors’ Feedback – Nov11

Dear tutors,

We appreciate your honest feedback regarding our service rendered to you in the month of November. There was an improvement in scores compared to last month, for which we are heartened to see. I’m guessing that the increased ease of tuition assignments application may be due to the customised assignment emails?

Tutors' Feedback Scores for Nov11

Accompanying comments:

Tutor 1: The coordinators were helpful and quick with their responses.

Tutor 2: They were efficient and professional

Tutor 3: You could have helped tutors who were abandoned by the students.

(We apologize to tutors who are unfairly dismissed from assignments on short-notice, especially when the parents have promised that the assignments would be long-term. Our coordinators normally clarify with parents that the assignments will last at least past 3 months, otherwise we will reduce the commission charge to our tutors.)

Tutor 4: Nice and efficient

Tutor 5: I hope Ace Tutors Home Tuition can quote the rate for every assignment by checking with the client’s budget. In this way, tutors can select those assignments which match their minimal rate. The coordinators of Ace Tutors Home Tuition are friendly and patient. Their service is excellent! Keep it up!

(For parents who only state that they would pay ‘market rate’, we leave it as such in the price field so that you may quote your honest rates and let parents have a fairer assessment of all candidates’ original unskewed rates.)

As of Jan 2012 or end of this month, we will have a new page which features parents/students’ positive comments about your teaching. It’s an exciting feature which promotes you to other parents in a whole new effective manner. Continue to teach with great passion and we hope that your effort goes rewarded =)

Parents’ and students’ feedback for November 2011

Dear parents and students,

Thank you for your kind feedback about our tuition matching service in the month of November. We garnered 16 service ratings from you, with some really nice and interesting comments. Your feedback is really what encourages us to out-do ourselves every month and every year! The following is a summary of the scores you gave us, out of a point score of 5:

The accompanying comments are as follows:

  1. Joshua was fantastic. I have been so busy to do any follow-up. He was very patient to call me almost everyday without a tinge of impatience in his voice. He has very good customer service. Keep it up, Joshua!
  2. Better follow up on queries.
(This one made us scratch our heads at first, but yes, we will definitely try to follow-up more closely with you. Our coordinators may fall sick at times, please pardon. Our coordinators will also have a stronger buddy system next year so that they can cover for each others’ off days)
  3. Thank you, Joshua for his dedicated service in getting my son a suitable tutor who can suit our timing. Also thank you for his time and great effort in his great assistance. It was a great pleasure to be serviced by him. Good job! Thank you.
  4. Thank you Joyce for the efficient service and professionalism!

To our tutors who are reading, we have not neglected your feedback. Your comments will be put up in the next post. Cheers!
