I am able to start immediately. The main issue with my schedule is that I might need to take 2/3 weeks off during Decembers for traveling/school purposes.
Rapport Building
I really love to engage students and inspire them to like the subjects they are learning. I can be really patient and understanding, but I'm also aware of when to draw the line. As such, I expect them to follow my feedback and be attentive during my lesson while having fun at the same time. Most importantly, I will always keep their parents in loop of what's going on in their children's curriculum as well as learning attitude, both good and bad aspects.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I keep myself updated through online resources. I am familiar with MOE syllabus and most of the times I develop my own teaching materials that complements the syllabus for my students. I also expect my students to purchase a few basic practice books based on my recommendation as extra practices.
As a Good Tutor
I enjoy imparting my knowledge to others, and most importantly, I want to share my passion with the subjects to my students as well to make learning enjoyable and inspiring for them. I am a great fan of English literature and the Chinese language and I absolutely love to challenge and engage my students verbally and intellectually with my learning materials. I believe that learning inspires confidence, and I hope to instill that in my students. I can be a really fun and enthusiastic teacher, but at the same time, I also expect that my students show the attitude for learning and take my feedback seriously and respectfully to make it an enjoyable learning and teaching experience for both of us. With my past experience in tutoring, I believe that I am able to bring my students to further heights and unleash their potentials.
