I have taught for 6 months, and will graduate in 6 months time. My students have all improved in the subjects that I teach, especially math and science.

Upper secondary level - A Maths Chinese E Maths English Higher Chinese
Junior college level - AO Chinese
Commitment / Other Details
I can start in June 2017, weekdays afternoon. I can teach siblings at the same time, even if they are of different levels.
Rapport Building
I will usually talk to the student while he/she does a paper that I give him/her for the first lesson. I will ask about his likes/dislikes, the reasons, or anything else and just generally trying to help him/her talk more comfortably while doing the paper. The paper I give him/her is only to guage how much they remember from school and his/her weaknesses, so it is not very important that he/she concentrate very hard on the paper.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I have a sister who works as a teacher, and a mother who works in MOE. Hence if there is any updates, I will be well-informed.
As a Good Tutor
I am patient and can be firm if needed. I interact well with children, but also understand that I cannot be their friend. I must be their teacher, and sometimes it will be better for them to listen to the adults. I am also resourceful and think of innovative ways to teach.
