Rapport Building
I am a Mathematics undergraduate from NUS and I love teaching and learning the subject.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I make use of textbooks and exam papers that have been set by the various Singapore schools.
As a Good Tutor
Firstly, they would need to come to the lesson prepared with materials for the student. An ineffective tutor is one who would ask the student to simply do an exam paper on the spot and only goes through the paper after the student is done. A lot of that time could have been spent on identifying the child's weak areas and targeting them. A tutor would also need to have patience in dealing with tutees who find it challenging to move past an obstacle. The tutor should provide more basic examples or break down the problem for the tutee in those instances. Finally, the tutor must set high yet achievable standards for his/her tutee and must work towards them in every lesson.
