Commitment / Other Details
I currently have two months left until the start of university, but I am also keen to tutor students on weekend slots after the semester begins. I would prefer to do one-on-one lessons.
Rapport Building
I will be starting university at National Technological University of Singapore on 26 July 2019. I will be reading the Renaissance Engineering Programme and I have also been offered the Renaissance Engineering Programme Scholarship. Additionally, prior to choosing my current choice, I was offered the University Scholars Programme and the Global Merit Scholarship by NUS, in conjunction with my NUS first choice, which is Industrial Design.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I am kept updated about the curriculum through tutoring my cousin, who is sitting for her GCE A level examinations this year.
As a Good Tutor
Good tutors should recognise that every student has their respective way of learning, and are able to teach in a way that fits the student. Other than pushing them to get good grades, good tutors must understand that there is a need to cultivate a love for learning in students which will act as motivation for the student to strive for betterment.
