Commitment / Other Details
I am able to start straightaway and am committed to helping each student gain their full potential. I'm currently teaching at the Japanese school Sundai on Tuesday and Wed 4pm to 6.30pm.
Rapport Building
I can handle a variety of students and have a great rapport with each of them. I treat each student as an individual and play to their strengths as well as try to gauge their weaknesses and how I can be of help.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
I keep up with the news and global current affairs through BBC, National Geographic and the like so as to help students esp with O level and GP essays. I've been regularly teaching N, O and A levels English and Literature so I'm very familiar with the curriculum.
As a Good Tutor
My students generally attain As and Bs, depending on their aptitude. I feel it's very important to empathise with each student so as to take a holistic approach when it comes to their education. When they can understand why English is of value to them personally besides just for academic excellence, they're likely to do their best and excel in the subject. I've taught and am teaching local and foreign students (Japanese students at Sundai School). Patience, dedication, kindness, humour and insight are all hallmarks of a great tutor.
