I think that education is a process where all parties need to be committed and involved. I generally conduct goal setting and reviews to ensure that students are aware of what they want to achieve and how they can get to their goal. I also make the student aware that what they are learning is not something that is limited purely to academics and that there are real world applications to what they are learning.
Keeping Up with Curriculum
As a Good Tutor
I think that a good tutor is not someone who is permanent fixture. A good tutor should ultimately provide a student with the tools and skills that they need to learn things by themselves. Building subject matter knowledge is important, but ensuring that a student is capable of learning on their own is just as important.
